Everyone who has ever owned a boat has heard someone (who has
probably never owned a boat) make a remark about how much it costs
to buy and maintain a pleasure craft. Wells, black holes and other
less-tasteful simile are common. Well, we work for a living. We
think that the experience of owning a boat should be as pleasurable
as enjoying it. When you're putting serious, hard-earned cash
(or credit) down to buy a boat, by golly, it had better be well
worth the money.
Here's something fun to do.
Compare the features of any Rinker model with similar models from
other manufacturers. Time after time, Rinker has more standard
features. And time after time, the individual features on a Rinker
are superior. Bigger capacities. More convenience. Better performance.
Now, quick, look down at the prices.
Surprise. Not only does the Rinker often cost less, it's usually
way less.
How do we do it? Rinker is an independent company. We have no
corporate mergers to pay. No junk bonds to service. No bloated
overhead. Instead, we put our money in our products. That keeps
our operation efficient, productive, innovative, reliable and
consistent. We're proud of that.
You'll see Rinker boats on the water that have been used every
year for decades. Talk to someone who owns a Rinker cabin model.
They'll tell you about problems that owners of other brands experienced,
then close the story with "...we've never had anything like
that happen with our Rinker(s)." Talk with Rinker runabout
owners. You'll hear how much other people paid for other brands
with similar performance and features. The story will end with
"...that was several thousand more than we paid for our Rinker!"
Our factory is not grand or picturesque. We are not located in
a landscaped industrial park. We don't have to worry about the
corporate executives flying in from around the globe. Our owners
live and work here. The corporate offices are located upstairs
at the plant. No corporate jets. No limos. Not even an executive
parking garage.
You know what that means? We have a terrific place to build outstanding
boats.
Rinker Boat Company is located on the edge of one of the biggest
lakes in the Midwest, where our founders set up shop back in the
1950s. We put our investment where it can make the biggest difference;
in our products.
Our mold shop is second to none, with rugged dedication to precise
execution and artistic style. We make all of our own upholstery
and cabinets, giving us absolute quality control. The whole manufacturing
process comes together in one place in one town in the middle
of the USA. Feedback is immediate. Learning never stops. Improvement
is constant. Innovation is celebrated.
That lets us ship the best values in boats every
day.
